Yes! Cabin is completely free to use. No account, no subscription, no hidden fees. Just create your note and share it.
All note content is encrypted using AES-256-GCM encryption before being stored in our database. The encryption key is never stored alongside your data.
When a note expires, it is permanently and irreversibly deleted from our servers — including any attached images. There is no way to recover it.
Yes! You can optionally set a password using Argon2id hashing. Anyone who opens the link will need to enter the correct password to view the content.
When Burn After Read is enabled, the note is permanently deleted the moment it is first viewed. It can never be accessed again.
We only store an anonymised view count and hashed IP addresses. We do not store full IP addresses, personal information, or link views to specific users.
We support JPG, PNG, GIF, and WebP images up to 10MB each, with a maximum of 5 images per note.
